If you are attending college and majoring in political science, public administration, business administration, journalism or mass communications, you might be eligible for a scholarship.
The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections will award three scholarships this year valued at $1,200 each.
Applicants must be registered voters who have lived in Florida at least two years and must be enrolled in an accredited senior college or university. Other requirements are listed on the scholarship application and in the scholarship guidelines, which are available at www.votepinellas.com.
Scholarship applications must be returned by March 26 to the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections offices at 315 Court St., Room 117, Clearwater; 13001 Starkey Road, Largo; or 501 1st Ave. N, St. Petersburg.

Italian-American groups also have scholarships
Two Italian-American associations are offering $1,000 scholarships to high school graduates and returning students.
Applicants must be Florida residents and of Italian descent. The scholarships are available through the Daughters of Italy Lodge 2825 and the Clearwater Chapter of Order of the Sons of Italy in America.
