Free tax assistance available at several county locations
Trained counselors or IRS-certified tax preparers are available to give free tax form preparation and filing at several locations around the county. The Earned Income Tax Credit EITC may result in a tax refund that can be potentially larger than the amount of taxes withheld from a qualifying worker's paycheck. Assistance is available in Gulfport at the Wachovia Gulfport Financial Center, 2001 49th St. S. Call 892-7425.

Money also is appreciated to help with postage, which is $8.95 per box. Donations can be dropped off in the St. Pete Beach City Hall lobby. Call Teri McMaster at 363-9220.
