Boys basketball: Eagles get 28 from Roberson for win

Springstead improved to 14-1 as Dominique Roberson scored a team-high 28 in the Eagles' 70-60 victory Tuesday. Addison Oneil added 14 for Springstead, which outscored Wiregrass Ranch 25-16 in the final quarter to pull away.
Sean Cooper led the Bulls with 24 points.
Ridgewood 72, River Ridge 33
Ridgewood built a 40-14 halftime lead and never looked back as the Rams improved to 13-3. Lukas Poderis led Ridgewood with a game-high 21 points. Byronell Arline and Alvin Satram added 11 points each.
Bishop McLaughlin 49, Canterbury 44
The Hurricanes outscored their opponent 22-11 in the fourth quarter in the come-from-behind win. Chris Congemi scored a team-high 21. Mike Holmes added 19.
Berkeley Prep 67, St. Petersburg Catholic 55
Down by 15 after one period, No. 1-ranked Berkeley Prep (14-1, 4-0) rallied behind an awakened defense for a victory in a Class 3A, District 11 game in Tampa.
Berkeley Prep took 6-0 lead before the Barons (9-7, 2-1) scored 23 of the next 25 points. They capped a 20-0 spurt by forcing a pair of turnovers that led to consecutive Richard Waddell layups.
But the Buccaneers responded with a 13-0 run to open the second quarter. They trailed 28-27 at halftime, allowing the Barons to score only two field goals in the second quarter.
Girls basketball: Ridgewood 49, River Ridge 13
The Rams held River Ridge scoreless in the second quarter and built a 26-3 halftime lead en route to a comfortable win. Ridgewood (12-7) was led by Jen Daun and Daylyn Williamson, who each scored 12 points.
