PCAC wrestling
When: Friday-Saturday
Where: Osceola
Teams: All 16 public schools in the county
Admission: $4 per session
Schedule: The tournament starts at 3 p.m. Friday with the preliminaries, quarterfinals and first round of wrestlebacks. Wrestling continues Saturday with wrestlebacks at 9 a.m., followed by the consolations at 6 p.m. and the finals at 7.
Mid-winter Classic
What: Volleyball
Where: Club V, 12901 U.S. 19 N., Clearwater
When: Today and Sunday
Schedule: Today the men's and women's open for both A and B divisions is from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the women's open final starts at 5 p.m. Sunday, the coed A and B divisions, the men's AA and B divisions, the junior boys and girls and the 15-under and 18-under divisions are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The men's open semifinals start at 11 a.m. and the finals are at 2 p.m.

Pasco picks Georgia Southern
Former Countryside defensive back Darrell Pasco committed to Georgia Southern, Cougars coach John Davis said. Pasco was a Times honorable mention with Countryside in 2004.
Soccer stats
The Times will resume running boys and girls soccer stats this week Sunday. Coaches can fax stats to 893-8782 or e-mail them to bburns@sptimes.com by 5 p.m. Thursday.
Barons near top in poll
St. Petersburg Catholic is ranked third in the Class 3A state girls basketball poll. Boca Ciega (No. 8 in 5A) and Northside Christian (No. 10 in 2A) also are ranked.
