HILLSBOROUGH Financial aid meetings set for students, parents Hillsborough Guidance Services will host a series of financial aid meetings for high school seniors and their families. Guidance staffers will give tips on how to finance postsecondary education and help explain the Federal Application for Financial Student Aid. Meetings start at 7 p.m. in each school's auditorium. - Tuesday at Riverview High School, 11311 Boyette Road, Riverview. - Thursday at Alonso High School, 8302 Montague St., Tampa. - Jan. 24 at Jefferson High School, 4401 W Cypress St., Tampa. - Jan. 29 at Brandon High School, 1101 Victoria St., Brandon. - Jan. 30 at Freedom High School, 17410 Commerce Park Blvd., Tampa. - Jan. 31 at Hillsborough High School, 5000 N Central Ave., Tampa. TAMPA Education programs move to new channel The Math Homework Hotline, along with School Board meetings, Classic Arts Showcase and other programs of the Education Channel have moved from Bright House Channel 18 to Channel 614. The channel shift occurred in December. To access the Education Channel, call Bright House and request a digital box at a charge of $1 a month. HILLSBOROUGH Greeting card contest offers scholarship High school or college students can enter to win a $10,000 scholarship by designing a greeting card.
