BROOKSVILLE - Two men arrested in October and accused of operating a significant marijuana grow house won't see jail time.
Circuit Judge Stephen Rushing withheld adjudication against Ovidio Jimenez and Boris San Martin on charges of growing marijuana and stealing electricity, giving them each three years of drug offender probation as part of a plea agreement Thursday.
On a third charge of tampering with electrical service equipment, the men, both 32, were both found guilty and sentenced to one day in jail, which they've already served.
The pair agreed to repay the more than $18,000 in stolen electricity.
Oct. 26, Hernando deputies found 235 marijuana plants and growing equipment in their home on Pipit Avenue in Royal Highlands. Jimenez, the homeowner, is not a U.S. citizen and could be deported.
