$5,000 bonus for being one of the top green schools

Westchase Elementary is one of 10 finalists in the search for America's greenest school. During a school assembly at 1 p.m. today, Westchase will receive $5,000 from the "Go Green & Small with 'all'" contest, which encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits.
Westchase switched from hardcover textbooks to Internet-based ones, recycled ink cartridges, paper and cell phones and refilled and reused glue bottles. Ellen DeGeneres will announce the $50,000 grand prize winner on her Jan. 18 show.
