All about art: The winter art exhibit runs through Feb. 12 at the Brooksville City Hall Art Gallery, 201 E Howell Ave., Brooksville. The exhibit includes the works of Tony Caparello, Glenna Cofran, Shirley Jacobson, Barbara Kerr, Alberto Juliano, Jessica Miller, David C. Roland, LeAnn Steen and others. Bandshell bash: The Hernando County Fine Arts Council's January Bandshell Bash will feature Tampa rock quartet Crystal Blue from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Hernando Park band shell. Canine competition: The 2008 Florida Classic Clusters AKC All-Breed Dog Show runs today through Monday and Wednesday through Jan. 20 at Florida Classic Park, 5360 Lockhart Road, off Cortez Boulevard, east of Brooksville. The show is presented by the Clearwater Kennel Club, Inverness Florida Kennel Club, Manatee Kennel Club, Pasco Florida Kennel Club and Tampa Bay Kennel Club. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Big battle: The Hernando Heritage Museum Association and the North Pinellas County Scout Sertoma Club will present the 28th annual Brooksville Raid Festival and Civil War re-enactment from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 19 and 20 at the Sand Hill Scout Reservation on State Road 50 in Spring Hill. Daily admission to the event is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Scouts in uniform are admitted free. For information, call 796-6766.

A one and a two: The Slovene National Benefit Society will have the first of two winter polka dances from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at the SNPJ Hall, 13383 County Line Road, Spring Hill.
