Well, this must have been an oversight. Forbes.com has come out with its list of the best cities for jobs in 2008 - based on measures like median income, unemployment, income growth, job growth and cost of living - and no Florida metro areas made the top 25. Then, Florida cities appeared in clusters with Jacksonville, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale at Nos. 26-28, respectively. Tampa surfaced at No. 49. Topping the rankings for the second consecutive time is Salt Lake City ... and, alas, at the bottom was No. 100, Detroit.

Fla. citrus growers expect good crop
Your flowers may have wilted during the recent cold snap, but Florida's citrus weathered it just fine. That's the word from Florida Citrus Mutual, which reaffirmed its annual crop estimate Friday. The state's growers are expected to harvest 168-million boxes of oranges, grapefruits and tangerines this year, up 30 percent over a year ago. Don't expect lower orange juice prices, though. Citrus Mutual officials say a rebound this year will replenish inventory and reduce the need for imports. Also Friday, the quarantine on citrus tree shipments was extended.

AT&T Wireless activates cell sites
Don't you hate it when you can't tell if your friends are listening intently, or if your cell phone dropped your call? Good news, then, if you have AT&T Wireless and spend time in the Tampa Bay area. The company turned on three cell sites: in Wesley Chapel, Riverview and Land O'Lakes. The company said it has invested $800-million in its wireless infrastructure in Florida since 2005.
