North Suncoast: News and Notes
By DAVID MURPHY AND IZZY GOULD
Published January 12, 2008
Bright horizons Most girls basketball fans on the North Suncoast know about Land O'Lakes star Kayli Keough, the 6-foot-2 Florida State basketball signee and North Suncoast's leading scorer. Now they're learning about another Keough who has been stepping up all season.
Land O'Lakes guard Meghan Keough scored 19 points in a 35-31 win over Wesley Chapel on Thursday, helping her older sister to a win against the Wildcats for the first time. Meghan has been reliable all season, averaging 12.5 points per game. She scored a season-high 23 in a 51-45 win against Cocoa on Dec. 29.
There's also fellow freshman Kaitlynn Pacholke, who leads the Gators in assists 4.7 per game and steals (3.1 per game). The talented backcourt duo appears primed to shine for some time.
