23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major for Justice Awards Banquet, 7 p.m., Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront, 333 First St. S. Featuring Sen. Cleo Fields, Louisiana state Legislature, as keynote speaker. $35. Tickets available at Enoch Davis Center. Call 327-0085.

23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major for Justice National Festival of Bands, 6:15-midnight, Tropicana Field, One Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg. High school and university marching bands from across the nation perform famous halftime drills and drumline competition as a special salute and tribute to King's legacy. $15 VIP seating; $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. 23rd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major for Justice National Parade, 1:15-4 p.m., starting at Third Avenue S and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street; north to Central Avenue; east to Bayshore Drive; then north to Seventh Avenue NE. Festive parade commemorates King and features 125 entrants, including marching bands, community leaders and groups, and floats. Free. Call 327-0085 or check online at www.spmlkparade.com.

"Reflections of the Man,"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Vigil, 6:30 p.m., St. Petersburg Museum of History, 335 Second Ave. NE.
