Editor's note: The following is a recap of the week's news events , in the words of the newsmakers.

Pat Phillips, field supervisor for the county code enforcement department, after visiting Club Elite, a so-called "swingers" club.
"Somebody needs to investigate this to make sure it doesn't happen again."
Pasco Tax Collector Mike Olson, outraged after a bail bondsman scuffled with an armed man in the county office on U.S. 19.
"He was a licensed general contractor for 25 years. I figured he was a good guy, and I found out the hard way that he isn't."
Jason Hill, who said he paid Larry Joe Frost several thousand dollars for construction work that he failed to deliver. Authorities say Hill is just one of Frost's victims.
"I asked him, 'Did you kill somebody in Florida?' He denied it, but his demeanor completely changed."
Sgt. Brad Mullins of the Wise County, Va., Sheriff's Office, which arrested Landon Leupkes, who disappeared in 2002 after police say he ran over and killed a 45-year-old woman in New Port Richey. Leupkes is charged with DUI manslaughter.
"That trolley screams Dade City."
Dade City Commissioner Steve Van Gorden, after commissioners agreed to allow the Dade City Trolley Tour to park a vehicle downtown without charge.
"I'm totally opposed to this. I think it's a harebrained idea."
County Commissioner Pat Mulieri, regarding fellow commissioner Michael Cox's idea of hiring a consultant to help set spending priorities.
