Computer class is designed to help beginners

DADE CITY Computer class is designed to help beginners C.A.R.E.S. Crescent Enrichment Center will offer a computer course aimed at seniors and those who are intimidated by their computers, taught "in plain English" by Ernie Nieradka. The classes start Tuesday and run through March 4 at the center, 13906 Fifth St. Topics covered include "Getting Started," "Managing Your Computer," "Hardware" and "E-mail," among others. Classes cost $30 each and there is $15 cost for the book. For information or to reserve a spot, call (352) 518-9300. Rancher to talk to Historical Society Jay B. Starkey Jr., a rancher and conservationist, will speak at the 7 p.m. Friday meeting of the Pasco County Historical Society. He will present the program and a give a free copy of the book Things I Remember by his father Jay B. Starkey Sr. to everyone in attendance.
