Woman charged with desertion

A 29-year-old woman was arrested Saturday and accused of military desertion, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report said.

Danielle Yamonico was picked up by deputies at a house in Holiday and taken to the jail in Land O'Lakes, where she is being held without bail. The Army has been contacted.

HUDSON

Woman, 52, killed in motorcycle crash

A truck and two motorcycles crashed on State Road 52 in Hudson on Saturday evening, killing a Dade City woman, a Florida Highway Patrol report said.

The woman, 52, was a passenger on a 1991 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. She was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital, where she died. The driver of the 1995 Toyota truck, Brian Kroen, 40, of Hudson was traveling west when he turned left into the path of two eastbound motorcycles, each carrying a driver and a passenger. The FHP report said none wore a helmet.

All five involved in the crash were taken to hospitals. Conditions for the other four were not available. The cyclists' names were not released.
