Publisher will offer downtown newsletter

A new publication will come to downtown in March with the launch of the Downtown SP Newsletter by Griffin Productions. Bob Griffin said he will begin mailing 10,000 copies to homes, condos and businesses. He already has a downtown restaurant guide, which started in September. Griffin said he also publishes a beach directory covering Panama City to Sarasota, and a Keys directory, as well as restaurant guides in those areas. Griffin also publishes newsletters in Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach and Belleair.

Fundraiser for CASA scheduled for Friday

Budget Self Storage will hold a grand opening and fundraiser for CASA on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. The newly constructed storage business at 2150 25th St. N opened in November but is holding its inaugural event now. The event will include food and music with donation opportunities for CASA's programs against domestic violence. Budget is donating a storage unit to CASA for display materials.

Clinic in Walgreens opens on Fourth St. N

Take Care Health Systems has opened a clinic inside Walgreens at 3851 Fourth St. N. The clinic, a subsidiary of Walgreens, is staffed by nurse practitioners to treat patients 18 months and older for common illnesses. Take Care accepts Medicare and Medicaid.
