Local artist Rocky Bridges will be featured at the Saturday Art Market. Bridges and others will showcase and sell work in Williams Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Theevent is two blocks from the Saturday Morning Market on Central Avenue. Call 898-6061.

Grant applications available to artists

Applications for professional development grants for artists are available from the Pinellas County Cultural Affairs Department. The application deadline is 5 p.m. Jan. 23 for projects beginning April 1 and ending Sept. 30. The grant funds projects up to $1,000 for Pinellas County artists. Guidelines and applications are available through the Cultural Affairs' Web site at www.pinellasarts.org. Hard copies can be mailed to artists by contacting Cultural Affairs at 453-7860.

PSTA collecting items for troops

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority seeksnonperishable food and personal care items as part of a Valentine for troops. Through Feb. 10, donations can be dropped off during business hours at all locations or between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekends at customer service centers.
