Pirates of Penzance: Just in time for Gasparilla, Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular operetta translates into a ballet with excitement and pirates. The production runs through Jan. 20. Art After Dark: The Tampa Museum of Art will host its final event to be held at the downtown location, which is soon slated for demolition. Tonight's event celebrates the institution's history and a new museum's future with work by more than 50 local and regional artists, as well as local bands and DJs. 8 p.m.-midnight; Tampa Museum of Art, 600 N Ashley Drive, Tampa; admission is free for museum members and $10 for nonmembers. Gasparilla exhibit: The Henry B. Plant Museum hosts the "Gasparilla: A Tampa Tradition" exhibit, featuring costumes, photographs and artifacts related to Gasparilla. The exhibit runs through March 2. Dancing with the Stars:We saw them mambo, jive and swing on ABC's show Dancing with the Stars. Now the dancers' tour stops in Tampa.
