All about art: The winter art exhibit runs through Feb. 12 at the Brooksville City Hall Art Gallery, 201 E Howell Ave. The exhibit includes the works of Tony Caparello, Glenna Cofran, Shirley Jacobson, Barbara Kerr, Alberto Juliano, Jessica Miller, David C. Canine competition: The 2008 Florida Classic Clusters AKC All-Breed Dog Show continues today through Sunday at Florida Classic Park, 5360 Lockhart Road, off Cortez Boulevard, east of Brooksville. Big-band dance: The Frankie Dee New York Orchestra will perform from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the new VFW Post 10209, 14736 Edward R. Noll Drive, off Anderson Snow Road. The orchestra will perform a variety of music, including big band, Frank Sinatra, Latin, polkas and waltzes. Tickets are $9, which includes a chance for door prizes. Helping a musical spirit:A tribute concert to Mark Lokan, the original owner of Music Bum and a noted local guitarist who played with groups such as Dog Leg Left and Soupstone, will begin at 1 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Horse & Crown Pub, 5230 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. Performers include Prospect, Recoil, Bullwinkle, Sunspot and Nothing in the Dark, with more to be added. The tribute will benefit the family of Lokan, who died Nov. 23 at age 49, and will feature food and raffles. Suggested donation is $5. Call Dave Kelly at 584-3607.
