During his career he served as an assistant priest, a university chaplain, a private secretary to a bishop, established a new parish and worked in high school ministry. After 20 years in the priesthood, he took a sabbatical and came to the United States. He was granted a transfer to the Diocese of St. Petersburg in January 2007 and appointed pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes on July 1, 2007.
