The Tampa Generals took on the Texas Stampede in the championship on the third and final day of the 2008 Coloplast International Wheelchair Rugby Tournament in Tampa. The event, hosted by BlazeSports Tampa Bay and Tampa General Hospital, features pool play for eight teams from across the nation and is the first major tournament to be conducted at the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department's new facility, the All People's Life Center, 6105 E Sligh Ave. The Tampa Generals won, 44-38.
