Cause of home explosion elusive
A bizarre fire at the home of Jason and Jennifer Johnson, both deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, remained under investigation Sunday. Saturday morning a powerful explosion in the Johnsons' garage blew the garage door across the street. Sheriff's officials suspect an interaction between old motorcycle parts and household chemicals. Fire investigators left the scene about 3 p.m., only to return about 9 p.m. after a fire in the attic was reported. The Sheriff's Office said arson was not suspected in either fire.
