Horse farm announces camps for spring, summer

The Rockin Horse Farm has posted camp dates and information for spring/summer 2008 programs on its Web site's Camp Days page.
The organization also is offering Spring Break Camp day camps and summer camp. Visit rockinhorsefarm.org for more information.
Disc golf: The Suncoast Sky Pilots Disc Golf Club will hold a handicap league at 11 a.m. on Sunday at Floral Park in Floral City.
It's free to establish a handicap after three rounds, then the cost is $5 per person.

The club will hold a Night Flight Invasion at Floral Park at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Check-in is at 5:30 p.m. It's a fun, beginner-friendly nighttime event. The entry fee is $25, which includes one LED golf disc to be used during the event. The top 25 percent of highest scores will get prizes.

Flatlander 5K: The 29th annual Red Mule Runners Flatlanders Challenge will start at 8 a.m. on Feb. 2. The 5K and 10K will be held at 8 a.m., while the 1K kids run will be held at 10 a.m. The cost is $20 if you preregister and $25 on race day. The kids run is $5.

Kumquat 5K: This year's Kumquat Festival 5K Run will be hosted by the San Antonio Relay for Life organization, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Registration is at 7 a.m. Saturday at 13920 17th St. in Dade City, in front of the Guardian ad Litem Program Office. The race starts at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $20 per person. Umpire clinic: The Hernando Sumter Umpires Association will hold two clinics for men, women and teenagers over the age of 16 who want to be trained to become a certified baseball or softball umpire.
The first clinic is Sunday at Anderson Snow Sports Complex. The second will be Feb. 3 at Ridge Manor Sports Complex. Both clinics will start at 1 p.m.

Fishing tournament: The Wal-Mart Distribution Center had its first annual trout and redfish tournament Dec. 8 to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. The tournament had 67 participants and weighed in 44 fish.
Ray Badautat won first place with a 3.10 pound trout. Mike Smith took second with a 3 pound trout, and David Green caught a trout weighing 2.7 pounds.
Stew Smith caught a 6.6 pound redfish good enough for first place. Nick Barrett caught a 6.2 pound redfish and Brian Stafford caught a 6 pound redfish.
The tournament raised $3,000 for charity and should be held again next year.
