Hernando County Foster Parent Association: This is a nonprofit organization that provides field trips and activities for foster children. P.O. Box 15195, Spring Hill, FL 34609. Needs school supplies, diapers (all sizes), clothing and monetary donations. Call 754-0377.

Hernando Education For Adult Readers In Training: 801 N Broad St. Needed: volunteers to be tutors, student referrals, space for a literacy program and cash. Call 797-7018.

Jericho Road Ministries Inc.: 1090 Mondon Hill Road, provides a residential program for homeless men. Needed: food, paper goods, phone cards, used eyeglasses, coffee, oil, milk, butter, laundry soap, dish soap. Mid-Florida Community Services: 820 Kennedy Blvd., provides food, rent and utility assistance to low-income and elderly people when funding is available. Reins of Hope: 22300 Hayman Road, Brooksville, offers a therapeutic riding program for those challenged by physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Boarding, lessons and trail rides are offered. Volunteers are needed. Call 799-HOPE (4673).

Salvation Army: 15464 Cortez Blvd., serves emergency cases and supplements other programs. Their cupboard is often bare. Needed: fresh meat, groceries of all kinds, including frozen foods, cereals, potatoes, pastas, warm jackets, working electric heaters and warm clothes for children. They also need cash donations.
