ST. PETERSBURG - Freshman Jenn Casey came into Thursday's Class 2A region quarterfinals leading Pinellas County in goals. She added three in Shorecrest's 4-2 win over Cambridge. Casey took a feed from Brooke Davis to beat the keeper for the first goal in the 19th minute. Her second goal came in the 37th minute on a steal, then she beat the keeper one-on-one. Shorecrest wasted no time after halftime with Chelsea Sherma finding Casey, who streaked by the defense to make it 3-0 in the 41st minute. Cambridge got on the board two minutes later when Emily Greene scored on a penalty kick. "I told Lara Theodore to make her runs deeper and that's what led to the foul," Cambridge coach John Mendoza said. Cambridge added another goal in the 64th minute as Meagan Gallogly found her sister, Malissa, on a crossing pass to pull the Lancers within 3-2. Shorecrest put the game away when Davis found Natalee Harris in front of an open net in the 69th minute.
