Participants pick 10 anglers for each of the seven Forrest L. Wood events on the bass tour throughout the spring and summer. Those anglers earn points for the participants in each tournament. At the end of the season, the player with the most cumulative points wins $1-million. Not only that, but the winner of each of the six tournaments wins $100,000 and the participant with the most points in the season-ending Forrest L. Wood Cup wins $100,000. The FLW bass season begins Feb. 28 on Lake Toho near Kissimmee. The Forrest L. Wood Cup is Aug. 14-17 in Columbia, S.C. Registration is free and available at FantasyFishing.com. PUBLIC WORKSHOPS Commercial mullet closures on docket The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will hold a series of public workshops regarding commercial mullet fishing. The commission is considering ways to allow more fishing opportunities for commercial mullet fishermen, including possibly modifying the July-through-January weekend closures for the commercial harvest of mullet.
