If your car isn't clean, Boy Scouts can help

Boy Scout Troop 433 will have a car wash from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 2 in the parking lot next to the thrift shop at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd.
There is no set cost. Donations will be accepted and will help the troop get ready for summer camp. For information, call David Nelson at 683-6204.
BROOKSVILLE
Garden Club plans gourmet fundraiser
The Brooksville Garden Club will host a fundraiser gourmet luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at First Presbyterian Church, 250 Bell Ave.
The program will feature flowers and Valentine traditions. Tickets are $14.50 and can be purchased by calling Lorraine Austin at 397-3157.
Proceeds from the luncheon will help fund summer "camperships" for children.
The club welcomes new members. Meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month. Call Austin for details.
SPRING HILL
Christian women's club to host luncheon
The Women's Connection Christian Women's Club will host a luncheon from noon to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane. Doors open at 11 a.m.
Red Hat ladies will be honored in a Sweethearts Fashions presentation by Bon Worth. Anna England from Port Richey will be the speaker; she will share how she found a rose garden at the end of a rocky path.

Swamp festival at park will be March 1-2
The 2008 Weeki Wachee Swamp Festival in the Park will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 1 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 2 at Linda Pedersen Park at Jenkins Creek, 6400 Shoal Line Blvd.
The event will include folk, country and instrumental music, arts and crafts, swamp food, prizes and drawings. The food court will have a variety of choices including Chinese andCuban cuisine, hot dogs, barbecue, blooming onions and ice cream. There will be numerous contests, including the swamp monster contest. Contest details are available online at www.wwswampfest.com. More than 200 gifts can be won, including an original gold pendant of the Swamp Fest mascot for 2008.
Parking is free. Admission is $2 at the gate. Pets and alcohol will be prohibited. For more information, call Roger Davidson at 596-3987.

Church group will hold annual rummage sale
The Merry Marks Group of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church will host its annual rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 in the fellowship hall behind the church, 7922 State Road 52.
There will be a variety of items, including furniture. There will be a baked goods table and a snack bar offering a continental breakfast and a light luncheon menu. Hamburgers and hot dogs will also be available.

For just $2, players can join card party
The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, St. Jude Council 6383, will host a card party from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at the K of C Hall, 10470 Spring Hill Drive.
