Seminary chancellor to speak on Judaism

ST. PETERSBURG

Arnold M. Eisen, chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary, will discuss "Commandment, Community and the Future of American Judaism" in his first public address in the Tampa Bay area. The town hall-style meeting will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday at Congregation B'nai Israel, 300 58th St. N.

Eisen has worked for the past 20 years with synagogue and federation leaders to address the issues of Jewish identity, revitalization of Jewish tradition and redefinition of the American Jewish community.
