TAMPA - Deputies arrested a man Saturday suspected in a string of robberies in southeast Hillsborough County.
Henry Michael Krajci, 43, of 1602 Saffold Park Drive, Ruskin, has admitted to six robberies in the past three months, according an arrest report, and he is suspected in two more, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
He was arrested in Wimauma about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, shortly after an attempted robbery at a Denny's restaurant on Sun City Center Boulevard, deputies said in an arrest affidavit. He was taken into custody about 10 miles northeast of the restaurant on Joe Sumner Road, the report said.
Carter said that in addition to the Denny's case, Krajci admitted robbing a Circle K in Riverview and a CVS Pharmacy in Gibsonton, Thursday; a CVS Pharmacy in Sun City Center, Wednesday; a Radiant store in Apollo Beach, Nov. 20; and a Hess station in Ruskin, Nov. 7.
She said Krajci held a knife or said he was armed and demanded money in each robbery except the one at Denny's. Deputies found a knife on him when he was arrested, but he didn't pull it out at the restaurant, Carter said.
The Sheriff's Office suspects Krajci in two robberies Friday at a McDonald's in Ruskin and a Pizza Hut in Sun City Center, Carter said. Krajci has not admitted those robberies, she said. Krajci was held in the Hillsborough County Jail Saturday with bail set at $93,750.
