Annual count of homeless to be conducted

COUNTYWIDE Beginning Monday at 5 a.m., volunteers will conduct an annual count and survey of homeless people. About 200 volunteers will visit nearly 250 sites, including emergency shelters, soup kitchens, day labor sites, encampments, parks and railways. For information, call 528-5832. ST. PETERSBURG Vendors can register for arts, crafts show Vendor registration for the Sunsational Arts & Crafts Show at the Sunshine Center has been extended to Feb. 8. The show is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 15 and 16 in the Sunshine Center Shuffleboard Ballroom, 330 Fifth St. N. A 10-by-10-foot area is $25 with a 6-foot table, or $20 if the vendor provides the table. Extra card tables can be rented for $5 each. Items for sale must be new and handcrafted. To register, call 893-7622. COUNTYWIDE Some parents can use a little help The Parent Aide Program needs volunteers to make a difference in the life of a parent who needs help becoming the best person he or she can be for a child.
