PINELLAS PARK

Pinellas Park will have the Tampa Bay area's only indoor soccer field now that council members have approved a sports club's request to open a facility in an area with industrial zoning.

The Tampa Bay Club Sport, a private social, league-sport group, will take over the 24,250-square-foot building at 3040 Gandy Blvd. The club will redo the inside to house the soccer field and a basketball court.

The 1.75-acre parcel is surrounded by the Gateway Centre Business Park, JSI Marine Superstore and Harberson RV Sales.
