Young jazz artists to perform today 

Hear America's Youngest Jazz Band perform classic swing tunes at 2 p.m. today at Oakhurst United Methodist Church, 13400 Park Blvd., Seminole. Directed by Sonny La Rosa, the band is made up of 25 musicians from 6-12 years old. The program includes Stardust, Stomping at the Savoy, Bugle Call Rag, Satin Doll and more. $10. Call 391-4769.

The best young speakers from Pinellas County schools will compete at 7 p.m. Monday in a 4H public speaking competition at the Pinellas County Extension, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo.
