Hot prospects

The Seminoles likely will sign 26-28 and, while they began racking up commitments far earlier than usual, they still could grab some big-timers with their trademark final flurry. Topping that list are big-play WR Julio Jones from Foley (Ala.), A.J. Alexander, a speedy player from Altoona, Pa., a onetime FSU commitment, and OL Josh Jenkins from Vienna (W.Va.) Parkersburg.

Looking back

In the midst of a staff overhaul, the Seminoles pieced together a class that lacked star power (no signee received five-stars from Rivals.com), but OG Rodney Hudson emerged and became a freshman All-American. LB Kendall Smith was a solid special teams contributor and was pressed into a starting job for the Music City Bowl. Most of the class was redshirted.
