Have a heart and wear red on Friday
Take a fashionable stand against heart disease by wearing red this Friday as part of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement, a national effort that celebrates the energy, passion and power that women have to band together to wipe out heart disease. One in three women has cardiovascular disease, and every minute one woman dies from it. Wear a red shirt and jeans to work, make a donation of $5 or more, and learn how to love your heart by preventing heart disease. More than 10,000 companies, including Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, will participate in National Wear Red Day. Visit www.goredforwomen.org to find out more.
