Feb. 15 - Gag, red and black grouper fishing in federal waters (9 miles offshore and beyond) is closed through March 15. Feb. 15 - NOOD sailing regatta at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Feb. 16 - Enjoy a free guided hike at Weedon Island in St. Petersburg. (727) 453-6500. Feb. 21 - Full moon fever. Feb. 29 - This is the last day snook season is closed in gulf waters. Starting March 1, snook season is open in the gulf until May 1.
