TAMPA - Maps of the proposed attendance boundary changes affecting seven schools throughout Hillsborough County are now available on the school district's Web site.
Sgt. Paul Smith Middle School in Citrus Park and Doris Ross Reddick Elementary in south Hillsborough are scheduled to open in August.
The new schools will help the county meet the state's mandate to reduce class sizes by shuffling students at Davidsen, Farnell, Martinez, Walker and Webb middle schools in the north and Cypress Creek and Wimauma elementary schools in the south.
More than 1,000 students would move in the northwest.
Parents at a recent meeting about Smith Middle said they did not want their children moving to Webb, which has a grade of C.
Steve Ayers, director of pupil administrative services, is requesting input from those affected.
Contact information as well as capacity reports, agendas and boundaries meetings minutes are all available at the School Capacity Advisory Council link.
Officials are scheduled to meet Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Jefferson High School to discuss the changes. Ayes said, "It's kind of a 'state of the boundaries' address."
