BRADENTON - Northside Christian and Keswick Christian each put on dominating performances to advance to the district finals. The Mustangs beat Shorecrest 53-38, while the Crusaders crushed host St. Stephens 67-20.

After Jasmine Cohen scored the first basket of the game for the Chargers, the Mustangs reeled off 12 straight points and never looked back. The Mustangs got 3-pointers from Amy Spath and Jess Logemann during the run as Northside took a 17-8 first-quarter lead.

The Mustangs used great defense from seniors Courtney Kuntz and Morgan Jackson to outscore the Chargers 18-5 in the second quarter and force 18 first-half turnovers.

The Chargers outscored the Mustangs 15-5 in the third, but strong free-throw shooting kept Northside ahead.

Keswick used a full-court press to run away from St. Stephens. The Crusaders were led by Kate Carl, who had 20 points and 14 rebounds.
