LAKELAND - Among them, Jesuit, Tampa Bay Christian and Tampa Prep won 12 of 14 individual titles Saturday. Those titles are significant, but more important was the number of qualifiers for next week's regionals. Jesuit's district champions were David Gonzalez (26-13) at 125 pounds,Kevin Nichols (19-14) at 130, Andrew Alizzi (10-13) at 135, Ben Reid (31-16) at 152 pounds and Chris Kavouklis (35-5) at 189. Three of the five finals were won by pin. The Tigers had three second-place finishers. Tampa Prep had district winners at 112 pounds, 145, 189 and 285. One of the most exciting matches came at 160 pounds, when Tampa Prep's Wes Jarrell outlasted Kathleen's Miguel Bravo.
