Check those passport forms before filing

According to U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Passport Services, passport applications received before Feb. 1 from the Hernando County Clerk of the Circuit Court are no longer valid. Information must be provided on the new forms, and fees have been changed. For information, visit the U.S. Department of State Web site travel.state.gov, the clerk's Web site at www.clerk.co.hernando.fl.us, stop by the clerk's Recording Division at 161 E Jefferson St., Brooksville, or call 540-6382.
SPRING HILL
Expo will benefit the Dawn Center
The Hernando County Home Business Women's Network will host a Health and Wellness Expo from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lake House, 1202 Kenlake Ave. The event will include a blood drive and a collection of donations for the Dawn Center, a local women's shelter. There will be vendors, food and prizes. Admission is free. Anyone who donates blood at the LifeSouth bloodmobile and brings a donation for the Dawn Center will get an extra raffle ticket for the door prize, valued at more than $100. The American Cancer Society's annual Cattle Barons' Ball will be at 6 p.m. March 8 in Heffernan Hall at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 20428 Cortez Blvd. The western-style party will include entertainment, games, food, silent and live auctions and more. Tickets are $100. Various sponsorships and ACS partnering opportunities are available. Funds raised will support ACS' Reaching Out to Cancer Kids program.
