Gulf Ridge Park Baptist Church, 20200 Manecke Road, will host the Weatherfords in concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 16. The group began as a quartet in 1944 under the direction of its founder, Earl Weatherford. They performed throughout the country and were on staff for the televised Cathedral of Tomorrow ministry of Rex Humbard. In 2000, Earl, posthumously, and Lily Weatherford were inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame. Lily Weatherford continued the group and currently sings with her son, Steve Weatherford, and Cody Boyer. An offering will be taken. Call 238-7940 or visit www.steveweatherford.com.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Family History Center, 21043 Yontz Road, has a new phone number: 796-7082. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. Genealogy research is open to the public and is free.

Forest Oaks Lutheran Church, 8555 Forest Oaks Blvd., will host ragtime pianist Bob Milne at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 23. He has performed for more than 40 years at the keyboard, intertwining humor and history into his music. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased at the church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays or by calling 293-3138.
Spring Hill Bible Church, 15449 Spring Hill Drive, will feature its kids choir. The choir will sing songs about Bible heroes, and the youth group's Voices of Christ will sing a medley titled "The Rock" at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. The church also will host an hourlong young parents Bible study at 6:30 p.m. on alternating Mondays beginning Feb. 18. The group will study the book Dare to Discipline by James Dobson. Some of the questions answered by the study will be: What should you do if your child doesn't listen? How should I deal with temper tantrums, especially in public settings? There is no cost for the course; books will be provided by the church. Call 544-5644.
