See wide range in Parade of Homes
The Pasco Building Association is holding its ninth annual Parade of Homes across Pasco County through Feb. 24.
Thirty model homes and two communities, Connerton and Bella Terra, have enrolled in this popular event, which attracts thousands of people during its two-week run. Homes will range from 1,200 square feet to 4,000 square feet and from $180,000 to more than $800,000. Among the builders taking part are Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Lyons Heritage, Avalon Building Corp., Greene Builders, Inland Homes, Lexington Homes, McCar Homes, Southern Crafted Homes, Southern Image Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, the Wilson Co. and Windward Homes.
Communities will compete for the "Community of the Year" Award, and builders vie to win the "Best Overall Model of the Year."
The 2008 PBA Showcase Home is now under construction by luxury home builder Siebel Falls Homes in the Alsace community in Land O'Lakes. Siebel Falls Homes is incorporating green building techniques in this home and in the entire community of Alsace.

Telephone tax credit is still available
The United Way Tax Service and the IRS have advised that people who did not get their telephone tax credit last year can still apply for it this year.

Seminar teaches how to avoid foreclosure

Class on mitigation of insurance rates is set
Pasco Hernando Insurance Professionals and Central Insurance School have scheduled a class from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 19 at Seven Springs Golf & Country Club, 3535 Trophy Blvd., New Port Richey.
Cost: $45 members, $55 for nonmembers.

The Pasco Building Association will hold its 6th annual Sporting Clay Tournament on Feb. 22 at Deer Creek Sporting Clays, 10514 Ehren Cutoff in Land O'Lakes.
Nita Beckwith, chief executive officer of the PBA, said they are looking for platinum, raffle/award, gold, silver, bronze and lunch sponsors.
