Wrestling: Pinellas grapplers fare well on Day 1 of state

LAKELAND - After the first day of the state tournament, Countryside was in the best shape team-wise of any county team, sitting in fourth in Class 3A, 14 points behind leader South Dade (34).
The Cougars are in team contention thanks to wins from Dalton Dennis (103), Kyle Grueninger (112), Tyler Parry (130), Eric Deupree (135) and Dustin Incorvia (152). They all move into today's quarterfinals at 10 a.m.
Also moving on in 3A, East Lake's Alex Dinielli won his 275-pound matchup and Pinellas Park's Nick Andries was victorious at 103.
In Class 2A, Brandon (39) led the team standings and advanced 11 of its 12 qualifiers into the quarterfinals. County winners included Northeast's Ryan Moore (140); Dunedin's Jonte Graham (145), Antonio Talley (160) and Danny Miller (171); Osceola's David Best (119); and Dixie Hollins' Jake Lawhead (140).
None of the county qualifiers won their first-round matches in Class A.
