Clearwater motorist killed in crash

CLEARWATER - A 19-year-old Clearwater man was killed in a car crash early Saturday when he lost control of his 2005 Acura. Andrew R. Smith of 2636 Heron Lane N died about 1:48 a.m. after colliding with a 2004 Lexus at 2400 Feather Sound Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver of the Lexus, Alexis Montemurro, 26, was taken to Tampa General Hospital, though her condition was not released. No additional details were available.
