IN THE WAKE OF AN ALL-TIME HIGH STOCK PRICE, Tampa's Walter Industries is set to release its 2007 financial results after the stock market's close on Tuesday. Walter can credit a global shortage of a coal variety used to make steel for boosting its stock.

CLIMBING BACK FROM THE REAL ESTATE SLUMP, St. Joe Co., Florida's largest private land owner, is going to report on its 2007 performance Tuesday. Last week, a federal judge denied attempts to stop construction of a new airport in Panama City, the heart of Joe country.

THOSE FOND OF READING ECONOMIC TEA LEAVES will be busy Wednesday. Among the barrage of reports due: the Consumer Price Index; housing starts; store sales data from the International Council of Shopping Centers; Leading Indicators; and minutes from the latest Federal Reserve board meeting.
