Today Boys basketball, Plant (25-4) at Pinellas Park (24-4), 7 p.m.: Bloggers, get ready! The Panthers face the upstart Patriots, who are in the playoffs for the first time since 1997 and are trying to advance to their first region final. Baseball, Dunedin (1-2) atClearwater (3-0), 7 p.m.:The Falcons will try to rebound after losing two of their three games at a tournament in Jacksonville last week. The Tornadoes are off to a strong start under new coach David Vince. Wednesday Girls basketball, Boca Ciega (27-3) vs. Winter Haven (29-2) at the Lakeland Center, 8:30 p.m.: The free-wheeling Pirates, who shoot 3-pointers at will, take on the defending champion Blue Devils and their suffocating defense in the Class 5A state semifinals. Friday Softball, Countryside (4-0) at Pinellas Park (4-2), 7 p.m.: The undefeated Cougars go up against Patriots ace Sarah Nevins, who is considered one of the top pitchers in the country.
