Former member's husband to run for commission

Michael J. Robinson has joined the race for the District 5 seat on the County Commission. Robinson, husband of former County Commissioner Hannah "Nancy" Robinson, pre-filed paperwork Tuesday. He is the third Republican seeking to unseat Democratic incumbent Chris Kingsley. Robinson's home address as given to the Supervisor of Elections Office is not in District 5. When his wife was unseated from the commission two years ago, she sued successful candidate Rose Rocco, claiming that she didn't live in her district at the time of the election. The courts have upheld Rocco's victory. Robinson's literature indicates his platform includes support for charter government and reduced government spending.
