Friday

The ninth annual Students Against Violence, Drugs and Racism Step-Off Extravaganza will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Dunedin High School auditorium, 1651 Pinehurst Road. Some 20 teams from elementary, middle and high schools and community groups are expected to compete. The competition is linked to the next day's Florida African-American Heritage Celebration at Heritage Village in Largo. The step finals are scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. at the celebration.
