Florida Orchestra

Tonight the Florida Orchestra wants to take you on a ride to a place where rhythm flows freely and harmony takes on a soulful attitude. They want to take you to a place called Motown.

The Contours join forces with the Florida Orchestra in a concert that is all about Motown. Tonight's Pops series gives the audience a chance to take a trip down memory lane as the Contours sing hits such as Do You Love Me on a program with chart-topping songs by other Motown artists, including the Four Tops, the Miracles, Marvin Gaye, the Temptations and Stevie Wonder. 8 p.m.; Ferguson Hall, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Tampa; $26-$54. Call 229-7827.
