Baseball: East Bay rides Gill's all-around play

Baseball East Bay 7, Lennard 4 Nick Gill did a little bit of everything Thursday night. He pitched. He hit. And he drove in the winning runs as East Bay defeated host Lennard 7-4 to earn its first win. East Bay improved to 1-2, and Lennard is 0-4. Gill didn't earn the win on the mound but did throw four strong innings, allowing only one earned run. At the plate, he brought home two with a double. The Indians got solid contributions from third baseman Chris Norton and catcher Steven Gonzalez, each of whom doubled.
