Deputies name woman shot outside club
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has identified the second victim of Sunday morning's double shooting outside a strip club as Kellie Zorka. Deputies say Zorka, a 27-year-old from Holiday, and 32-year-old Anthony Monti of New Port Richey were shot in the parking lot of Diamond's at 3935 Grand Blvd. about 2 a.m. Sunday. Zorka was flown to Bayfront Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the head, sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin said. The hospital said she was in critical condition late Monday. Monti was treated and released from a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the left arm, according to the Sheriff's Office. Deputies are still searching for two unidentified men in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Dean Quinlin toll-free at 1-800-854-2862, ext. 7394.
Schools lock down after robbery
Three Pasco County schools went into lockdown mode Monday afternoon while sheriff's deputies investigated an armed robbery at a nearby Walgreen's at 10401 Little Road. The robber was described as a white man, 20 to 25 years of age, 6 feet tall, weighing 225 pounds, clean-shaven, with white tennis shoes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a green sweater with white stripes down the sleeves and black shorts. He left on foot running west on Jasmine. The robbery occurred at 1:22 p.m. School officials secured the campuses of Fox Hollow Elementary, Schrader Elementary and Bayonet Point Middle schools as a precaution. The lockdown lasted about 80 minutes. Bishop Larkin Catholic School was also in lockdown during the initial search for the robber.
