Teenager leads the pack at Chinsegut race

More than 129 runners participated in the Chinsegut Run Race on Feb. 16, and it turns out a 17-year-old took home the top time.
Tyler Maier finished first overall with a time of 17 minutes, 38 seconds. First place for the Masters Male was Chuck Roose, coming in at 19:32. The top female was Erin Courtney at 20:47, and top Masters Female was Marsha Eicholtz, with 22:03.
First place by gender and age are as follows:

Tap-dancing: Timber Oaks Community is offering tap-dancing lessons for seniors over 55.
Hosted by the Timber Oakettes Tap Class, the lessons are taught by professional and seasoned tapper Betty Kuhnlohe. Members perform at Timber Oaks Players Club Kaleidoscope Show.

KARATE: Ingram's Karate Center is offering a women's self-defense course focusing on practical real-life techniques designed for and taught by women.
The class is for all ages, and nonkarate students are welcome.
The classes are from 12:30 to 2 p.m. March 1 and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. March 15. The cost is $50.

Tennis: Ace Performance is offering an opportunity for homeschoolers to learn tennis. There are two classes per week:
- 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Mondays at Delta Woods Park.
- 9 to 10 a.m. Thursdays at Brooksville Country Club.
Classes are $10 each or four for $35.
